What Sets Us Apart
There's a version of your home that you can feel but can't quite articulate yet. Getting there requires more than good taste…it requires a process rigorous enough to protect the vision at every turn.
Studio Burgoon designs linearly and holistically, every decision informed by the ones before it, so nothing gets lost between inspiration and installation. That approach is rooted in years of technical experience in hospitality design, where precision on paper is non-negotiable. Our drawings and specifications are detailed enough that contractors and trades work from a single foundation, which means fewer surprises, a more efficient timeline, and a finished space that actually matches what we envisioned together.
We're also selective about how we work. We don't take on projects piecemeal, and we don't operate on timelines or budgets that would require us to compromise. Every decision is made to last, because the home we're designing for you should feel just as right ten years from now as it does on installation day.
Our Services
We offer full service interior design in Austin, Texas. With a range of services, our team will expertly guide you through your new build or renovation, from concept through completion.
-
This is where we do our most technical and collaborative work. We embed early in the process alongside your architect and builder, shaping decisions about layout, architectural detailing, custom millwork, lighting plans, and material palettes before a single wall goes up. That early involvement is what allows the interiors to feel like a natural extension of the architecture rather than something layered on top after the fact.
The result is a residence that feels collected and enduring, grounded in architectural integrity and rooted in craft, designed to evolve with you.
-
For homes where the architecture is already established and construction is complete or nearly there, this is where the space finally comes to life. We curate furnishings, textiles, lighting, window treatments, art, and collected objects, alongside finishing layers like wallpaper or plaster where the design calls for it. We handle all sourcing, procurement, and installation so the experience is hands-off for you and the result feels complete on installation day.
-
Here we do our best work. Full Scope combines our New Builds & Renovations and Furnishing & Installation services into one uninterrupted engagement. One partner, one point of view, from the earliest layout decisions through the final install.
We collaborate closely with architects and builders to shape the architectural framework, then carry that intent through the home in its entirety. When everything is considered as a whole, the result is a home that feels inherently cohesive—something you can feel but can’t quite replicate any other way.
Our Process
Good design is the result of a thorough process built around understanding how you live. Our role is to bring a cohesive vision to every layer of the home, from the earliest conceptual conversations through procurement and final installation, approaching each phase with equal parts creativity, technical precision, and careful oversight. The result is a home that feels personal, considered, and entirely your own.
01Discovery & Planning
Every project begins with an in-person meeting and, for local clients, a site visit. We come prepared with a detailed questionnaire, but this is really a conversation: how you entertain, who visits and for how long, what your weekends look like, what bothers you about your current home. The more we know about your life, the better we can design around it, anticipating what you need before you even realize you need it.
02Vision & Concept
With your goals in focus, we research and pull inspiration imagery to define the look, feel, and material direction of your space. Once as-built drawings are received, we move into space planning in AutoCAD and bring the full project team together: architect, builder, or both. (Don't have one yet? We can help.) From there, we hold a schematic design meeting to review initial concepts, sketches, and imagery, translating everything we've learned into a design direction specific to this house and this life.
04Construction Documentation
Construction documents are the full set of technical drawings and specifications your contractor uses to build and price the work accurately. Where design development defines what we're creating, CDs define exactly how. We produce detailed drawings covering dimensions, materials, finishes, and installation requirements across every scope of work, so your contractor has a precise road map and there's less room for costly misinterpretation in the field. These documents also serve as the basis for contractor bidding, keeping estimates grounded in the actual design rather than assumptions.
06Procurement
Alongside construction, we manage the full procurement process for furnishings, window treatments, lighting, artwork, and accessories. Working primarily with custom and trade-only sources, this is a carefully sequenced process that unfolds over weeks or months, with longest lead time items prioritized first. Once the design deck and budget are approved, we handle everything: proposals, orders, lead time tracking, delivery coordination to our warehouse, and the resolution of any dama
07Execution & Installation
When construction is complete and furnishings have arrived, we coordinate a full installation, typically one to three days. We install complete rooms at a time rather than piecemealing, which is how we ensure the vision lands the way it was intended. This is one of our favorite parts of the entire process, when we finally get to see the full vision of everything we’ve spent months or sometimes years planning.
03Design Development
With the concept approved, we move into full design development: furniture plans, millwork elevations, finish schedules, hardwired lighting and electrical plans, plumbing fixtures, and appliances. This is the most detailed phase of the process, and we move through it methodically. We allow two rounds of revisions before final sign-off, with open dialogue throughout to make sure the design is evolving the way you envisioned.
05Construction Management
We stay actively involved throughout construction, conducting site visits, reviewing work against drawings, coordinating between trades, and fielding the questions and decisions that inevitably come up in the field. Our job during this phase is to protect the design intent and keep the project moving, so small issues get resolved before they become expensive ones. We're your advocate on site from demo day to final walkthrough.

-
The earlier the better. For renovations and new builds, bringing a designer on before construction begins allows us to shape decisions about layout, architectural detailing, and material selection before changes become costly. Hiring a designer after the fact often means working around decisions that could have gone differently.
